Swarna Ramakrishnan, Esq.
Swarna Ramakrishnan concentrates a majority of her practice on matters involving New Jersey and New York Association Law, Landlord Tenant Law, Collection and Litigation.
Prior to joining Griffin Alexander, P.C., Swarna worked as an associate for a national plaintiff's firm in New Jersey that specializes in pharmaceutical drug and medical liability. Swarna is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the New York Bar Association.
Swarna is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the United States District Courts of New Jersey and New York. Swarna is a graduate of Albany Law School (J.D. 2012), where she represented terminally ill patients at Social Security Disability Appeal hearings under a Student Practice Order at the Albany Law, Health Law Clinic and Justice Center. She also graduated with honors from the University at Albany (SUNY) (B.A. Political Science and Philosophy).

New York law has been revised to require cooperative and condominium boards to disclose contracts or transactions in which it or its directors have an interest. The New York Legislature enacted these proposed revisions to the New York Business Law and the New York Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.

A new bill was recently proposed to the New Jersey Senate amending the Anti-Eviction Act (N.J.S.A. 2A:18-61.1). The bill, sponsored by Senator Anthony R. Bucco of District 25 (Morris and Somerset), amends the Anti-Eviction Act (“Act”) to include a method of eviction for overcrowding in residential apartment communities.
